Job Opportunity: Architectural Technologist at Brown & Brown

Brown & Brown is seeking an Architectural Technologist with five-plus years’ experience to join its team in Aberdeenshire.

Based in Aboyne, Royal Deeside, Brown & Brown is a multiple award-winning, modern architecture studio. We are a design-led practice specializing in building contemporary homes that connect people to themselves, others, and their surroundings. While rooted in Scotland, we work across the UK and beyond.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented Architectural Technologist with exceptional communication and detailing skills, coupled with proven technical ability. The successful candidate will be involved in various projects, including job-running where applicable. Candidates who enjoy critical thinking to assess and solve design issues and propose creative solutions will thrive in this role.

Compensation

Competitive, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contribute meaningfully to the creative process alongside other team members.
2. Be responsible for producing technical packages.
3. Enhance the technical competency of the practice.

Qualifications and Skills

• Chartered (CIAT) status preferred.
• Proven track record of technical competency.
• Keen eye for detailing and excellent construction knowledge.
• Good understanding of building regulations.
• Experience with JCT (SBCC) contract administration.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks is an advantage.
• Full UK Driving License.
