Architectural Technician
Waverley Court

Salary: £37,626 - £44,257
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

The Council is looking to recruit a dynamic, client focused, personable and technically strong Architectural Technician with a drive to deliver sustainable design solutions. You will be part of an established architectural team within the Council's in-house multi discipline design service. You will be working on a wide and complex variety of new build and refurbishment projects of values ranging from £100k - £50m, covering the Council's operational property estate. This will include educational buildings, libraries, depots, offices, care facilities and other public facilities across the City of Edinburgh.

You should be HNC/HND qualified in Architectural Design and hold a minimum associate membership or working toward full membership of a related professional body such as CIAT Having a degree qualification would also be of benefit.

Preferably you should also have some post qualification experience in architectural design and project/contract management, as well as an ability of working as part of a professional design team. Experience and working knowledge in REVIT, AutoCAD and NBS Chorus, would be advantageous. You should have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to present well as a representative of the Council. You should be able to manage your time effectively within the constraints of project budgets. Having a valid CSCS card would be desirable.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
