Architectural Technician Job in Sevenoaks, Kent

Our client now has a new available position. You will be joining an innovative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering top-tier service and maintaining a reputation as an industry leader in Fire and Building Safety.

The consultancy offers a multitude of services including project management, building surveying, cost consultancy, design management, and fire safety/fire engineering. Specialising in residential, affordable housing, major regeneration, new build, and remedial projects for housing associations, local authorities, and private developers. Made up of circa 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work. Due to this, they are seeking a Revit-skilled Architectural Technician to join the team in Sevenoaks.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Interpreting and translating design concepts and ideas into accurate and detailed technical drawings using Revit.
  • Collaborating with design engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
  • Adjusting and revising drawings as necessary, based on feedback from team members or clients.
  • Producing accurate as-built floor plans and elevations from point cloud data.
  • Assisting in the management of project files and CAD library.
  • Providing assistance and support to team members during the design and planning process.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Holds professional qualifications in architecture.
  • Proven work experience as an Architectural Technician.
  • Proficient in the use of Revit.
  • Excellent spatial awareness and understanding of 2D and 3D modelling.
  • Familiarity with engineering or architectural design concepts and terminologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ISO 19650 standards for managing information over the whole life cycle of the project.
