Job description

Original Field of Architecture is seeking an experienced architectural technician to join its growing practice in Oxford, UK.

Since 2008, Original Field has established itself as an architectural practice known for crafting expressive and engaging design responses. Our projects are varied and complex, successfully negotiating complex historical, social and economic environments resulting in innovative and creative outcomes.

The candidate should be passionate about materials and how buildings are crafted as well as having strong technical and communication skills.

Key skills and experience:

  • hold a degree in architectural design and technology or similar qualification, accredited by the CIAT
  • CIAT registered with minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in stages 4 to 5 detailing and delivery phases
  • demonstrate excellent technical detailing skills
  • experience in both traditional and D&B process
  • CDP experience and working with specialist subcontractors
  • fully conversant with the production of NBS Specifications
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to coordinate complex building projects with a wider consultant team
  • advanced knowledge of UK building regulations and standards, Building Safety Act
  • experience with historic and listed buildings an advantage
  • experience with Revit an advantage
