Job summary

A leading homebuilder in Edinburgh is seeking an Architectural Technician to enhance their Scotland East Technical team. The role encompasses supporting the planning process, producing CAD drawings, and providing design solutions for individual projects. The ideal candidate has experience in Architectural Design, preferably in housebuilding, and is proficient in AutoCAD. Qualifications

• Experience in Architectural Design, ideally within housebuilding.
• CIOB qualification or related HNC/HND in Building Design.
• AutoCAD literate with understanding of construction process.
• Ability to understand technical detailing at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support in planning and warrants process, liaising with local authorities.
• Provide drawings and details to the commercial team for procurement.
• Supply CAD drawings for Production teams on site.
• Prepare drawings for use by the Sales Team for brochure production.

We are looking to recruit an Architectural Technician to join our fantastic Scotland East Technical team. The role will see you working under the supervision of the Design Manager, providing architectural design services and solutions on individual projects, presenting proposals and working drawings using AutoCAD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support in the planning and warrants process, including liaison with local authorities
• Providing appropriate drawings and details to the commercial team to assist the procurement process.
• Providing CAD drawings and details to Production teams for use on site
• Provide appropriate drawings and details for use by the Sales Team for brochure production and on site usage

REQUIREMENTS

• To have experience in Architectural Design, ideally working within housebuilding
• To have a CIOB qualification in Building Design or a related HNC/HND.
• To be AutoCAD literate and have an understanding of the construction process
• To understand technical detailing at all levels of housing design
