Architectural Technician

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a close-knit team of chartered building surveyors and designers with an excellent reputation for quality work across the Southwest.

Are you an Architectural Technician with strong building regulation knowledge? Do you want to work on beautiful historic buildings and enjoy a varied role within a supportive, flexible office?

Being well established in the region, this firm specialises in building surveying, heritage refurbishments, and design solutions for older and listed buildings, including a variety of refurbishments, extensions, and conversions. With design services making up 60% of their offering, they're now growing their team and looking for someone to become a long-term part of their future.

You'll join a passionate team delivering full design and project support from concept through to completion. With the opportunity to manage your own projects and liaise directly with clients, you'll work on everything from listed building applications traditional refurbishments.

The ideal candidate will have Architectural Technician experience on traditional or modern buildings, and a strong grounding in UK planning and building regulations.

The Role:
Preparing drawings and technical details
Managing your own projects across traditional and heritage buildings
Liaising with clients, design team, and quantity surveyors
Preparing schedules of works and assisting with contract administration
Office-based in Cirencester with local site/client visits (within 30 miles)

The Person:
Experience as an Architectural Technician
Knowledge of building regulations and planning procedures
Experience with traditional buildings is essential
Degree or HNC in Architectural Technology
