I am delighted to be supporting a close-knit, forward-thinking architectural practice whose excellent reputation and success have been driven through their substantial experience in delivering creative designs inspired by their stunning surroundings of the South Coast. They are specialists within the residential sector, working on projects ranging from extensions and luxury private homes to larger developments. Working for this RIBA Chartered, collaborative practice ensures you will become an integral member of a growing team committed to professional development, while working on a variety of exciting projects. With numerous projects in the pipeline, they are keen to hire an Architectural Technician to join their friendly office.

The successful Architectural Technician will have proven experience across the later RIBA stages, with strong technical expertise and experience in residential projects.

Skills, Experience, and Responsibilities for the role of Architectural Technician:

  • Substantial relevant post-qualification experience in the UK
  • A degree in architectural technology or a similar HND/HNC
  • Technical expertise in Vectorworks is beneficial
  • Experience in residential projects of varying scales, ideally including bespoke homes
  • A passionate and self-motivated approach to work and professional development
  • Experience managing small teams and projects
  • Extensive experience in later RIBA stages (4 onwards)
  • Understanding of BIM models
  • Good knowledge of up-to-date building regulations
  • Live locally to the Dorset area
  • Ability to work well in a close-knit team
  • Excellent knowledge across construction stages
  • Confidence liaising with contractors, clients, and other professionals
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • Passion for high-quality, innovative technical drawings
  • Keen to continue professional progression and contribute to company growth
