Job summary

CK Architectural Midlands in Birmingham is seeking an Architectural Technician to join our Birmingham office and contribute to a varied residential portfolio.

You will support architects and senior technicians with detailed building regulations drawings, working drawings, surveying and planning submissions, while liaising with clients and authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Keen eye for detail and genuine interest in architecture and design.
• Relevant degree in Architecture or related subject preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD.

We are looking for an Architectural Technician to join our Birmingham office and contribute to a varied portfolio of projects. In this role, you will support architects and senior technicians in producing detailed building regulations and working drawing packages. You will also be involved in surveying, design development, and planning submissions, while liaising with clients, building control officers, planning officers, and consultants throughout the project process.

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes, strong communication skills, and a practical approach to problem‑solving in the built environment. • At least 5 years’ experience in residential architecture.
• Strong AutoCAD skills.

• Graphic design knowledge would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in architecture and design.
• A relevant degree or qualification in Architecture or a related subject is preferred.
