Overview

Job Title: Project Manager

Summary: The Project Manager will plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new building designs, and plan and/or facilitate the execution of building projects according to client’s needs, desires, and financial resources.

Supervisory Responsibility: Project Staff & Engineering Consultants

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all project efforts from beginning pre-design to final close-out. The PM is expected to:
• Produce and lead projects through design and construction documents, including coordination of consultant plan documents
• Prepare and present designs, specifications, estimated costs, and project schedules; review and comply with agency, life safety, and building code requirements; respond to the technical implications of design decisions
• Manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; manage project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
• Manage projects during construction administration including permitting, bid / negotiation, submittals, construction documentation, progress meetings, and on-site observation to meet contract requirements
• Estimate project scope of work, schedule, oversee and advise and instruct project designers
• Participate in quality assurance / quality control
• Prepare strategic plans and serve as client liaison
• PM will be paired with a firm Associate on all projects, but the PM will serve as the primary point of contact throughout projects
• Assist in marketing and new client opportunities
• Facilitates firm and project goals
• Complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with max. client satisfaction

• Professional development pursuits on a quarterly basis; maintain awareness of evolving building technology and systems
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit building information modeling (BIM) software; projects are 100% produced in Revit
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, and TwinMotion are desired, but not required
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills
• Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as sketches, drawings, or models

Education and Experience

• NAAB accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
• Five to ten years of relevant experience
• Portfolio of completed projects

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds
• Local and project-related travel is required
