Architectural Planner
Stratford-upon-Avon
£30-40k
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am -5.30pm, one day working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing quality CAD/BIM drawings, including Land Registry Plans, floor plans, elevations, and details.
- Preparation of Scope of Works and initial Briefing Notes for projects.
- Site assessments and development potential, including planning histories, policy analysis and interpretation of material considerations.
- Preparing and submitting planning applications through the planning system.
- Work with colleagues to increase knowledge of Planning Law and Practice and seek opportunities to develop and increase exposure to projects.
- Liaising with Case Officers, Clients and Consultants regarding third party reports and project updates.
- Planning advice on farm diversification and asset enhancement opportunities.
The ideal candidate must have:- Architectural qualification, ideally including planning related modules.
- Minimum 3 years planning and architectural experience, ideally at least 18 months in the private sector.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Proven experience in producing accurate and attractive drawings for planning applications.
- Full driving licence, and access to your own vehicle.
- The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
- A willingness to be part of a team, to assist and interact with your colleagues.
- The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
- A proactive approach to work.
Desired:- Good understanding of Photoshop, rendering software and other graphic packages.
- Good keyboard skills.
- Experience in building and land surveys.
- Report writing skills with good attention to detail.
