Job summary

A family-run housebuilding company is seeking an Architectural Technician in Bury St Edmunds to oversee residential developments from planning to completion. Responsibilities include managing planning applications, producing documentation, and liaising with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design tech department and a minimum HNC in Construction. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Design and Technical Department, ideally in residential or new-build housing.
  • Minimum HNC in Construction or a related subject.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting major planning applications within budget.
  • Producing plans and supporting documentation for planning submissions.
  • Managing projects on site and addressing queries as they arise.
  • Liaising with planners and other stakeholders on planning matters.
