Job summary

Foster + Partners in London is seeking an Architectural Assistant Part II to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative projects within a collaborative and internationally renowned architectural practice.

Working closely with project leaders, architects and multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop creative design solutions, produce high-quality project information and gain valuable experience across all stages of the design process.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of professional architectural experience.
  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and architectural understanding.
  • The ability to use a variety of media to develop, communicate and document design ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop drawings, models, images and design documentation that bring architectural concepts to life.
  • Explore, develop and present design options as part of a collaborative design team.
  • Gain exposure to site analysis and support project leaders in assessing development opportunities and construction considerations.
  • Monitor construction progress and gain experience in ensuring designs are delivered in line with project specifications.
  • Work closely with architects, project leaders and consultants to support design development and project delivery.

Description

As an Architectural Assistant Part II at Foster + Partners, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative projects within a collaborative and internationally renowned architectural practice. Working closely with project leaders, architects and multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop creative design solutions, produce high-quality project information and gain valuable experience across all stages of the design process.

This role is ideal if you want to:
  • Develop drawings, models, images and design documentation that bring architectural concepts to life.
  • Explore, develop and present design options for discussion as part of a collaborative design team.
  • Gain exposure to site analysis and support project leaders in assessing development opportunities and construction considerations.

What you will bring to the team:
  • 3 to 5 years of professional architectural experience, with exposure to the development and delivery of design projects.
  • Excellent Revit skills, with the ability to produce high-quality models and project information.
  • A strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, design thinking and architectural understanding.
  • The ability to use a variety of media to develop, communicate and document design ideas effectively.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to take initiative and respond positively to direction and feedback.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
