Job summary

Bood Group in Bristol is seeking an Architect or Technologist to design projects from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.

You will develop detailed plans using Vectorworks and SketchUp, contribute to feasibility studies, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and perform site visits. The role requires hands-on construction knowledge and a keen eye for joinery details, with opportunities to shape diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Architecture, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant architectural and creative software.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for good design.
• Hands-on construction experience that provides insight into building processes.
• Strong understanding of joinery techniques and materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive architectural designs, using Vectorworks and SketchUp to create detailed plans and 3D models.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, concept and detailed designs.
• Produce planning, building regulations and construction drawings.
• Participate in design team meetings and liaise with consultants and contractors.
• Conduct site visits and assist with surveys, reports and project administration.
• Stay up to date with building regulations, planning policies and construction standards.
