Job description

As a Solution Architect, you will be working with our Communication and Automation Teams as a key player in the implementation, upgrading and enhancements of various solutions across the domain.

We have an exciting and extensive portfolio of change to manage over the coming years, including but not limited to, implementation of strategic communication tooling, improving customer access to communications, automation of internal processes, event based processing, real time decisioning and personalisation.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for the creation and delivery of technical design artefacts to deliver team objectives that are aligned to engineering and architectural strategy and help to provide quality solutions that meet KPIs/SLAs for the area.

You’ll work with the Senior Technical Architects, Engineering Leads, and the implementation teams to provide solution design and governance for current and upcoming projects and provide strong technical leadership to ensure the right decisions are made with confidence and at pace.

In addition to project work, you’ll support the senior technical architects and contribute to the creation and ongoing maintenance of architecture roadmaps, principles, patterns and standards to reflect best practice and effective use within the organisation.

By using your leadership skills and SME knowledge, you’ll work with stakeholders and peers to understand and influence how the technical infrastructure deliverables coincide with activities both within and without the team and when required, provide designs/solutions to align with engineering principles and architectural strategy.

About you
  • Ability to design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures for customer servicing applications in the banking domain.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading architecture discussions and documenting architecture blueprints, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ability to provide knowledge of data modelling to design efficient, scalable data structures and flows.
  • Demonstrable track record of solution analysis and design across a variety of projects.
  • Proven delivery of high-quality project deliverables including Solution Design, High-Level Designs, Detailed Designs, Interface Specifications and Impact Assessments.
  • Comprehensive integration design experience (e.g. batch, API).
  • Hands-on architecture and design experience with AWS or Azure cloud architecture and services.
  • Worked with Agile and/or ‘waterfall’ based methodologies.
  • Worked in a highly regulated environment and ensuring solutions are compliant.
