Job Description

Project Manager (Architecturally Trained)

Location: Central London

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days in studio)

Salary: £55,000-£68,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

Are you an architect craving more ownership...

More say, more structure, more strategy?

This is a Grõ Careers exclusive partnership opportunity... You won't find this anywhere else!

This is your invitation to step into the heart of a high-performing design studio...

Not to draft... but to direct.

Not to support... but to lead.

An award-winning multidisciplinary design-led studio is searching for an Architect to step into a dedicated Project Manager role, partnering directly with their Creative Director.

This isn’t corporate project management.

This is high-trust, design-focused leadership.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day across 3-4 ultra-prime projects, everything from client briefings to consultant coordination, programme setup to deliverable review.

You’ll become the studio’s anchor for performance, quality, and clarity, ensuring that what leaves the door reflects the studio’s reputation for excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Take ownership of project setup and programming
  • Lead communication with clients and consultants - developing briefs, setting expectations and timelines
  • Manage/track project finances, schedules, budgets, and progress reporting
  • Review and QA design deliverables and outputs
  • Chair project meetings, capture actions, and hold teams accountable
  • Be the go-to for all things project delivery - keeping 3-4 live schemes running smoothly
  • Support internal operations and studio standards - what should be going out the door

Who You Are:

  • ARB-registered or RIBA-qualified architect with strong delivery experience
  • Confident communicator - client-facing, polished, and strategic
  • Natural organiser - proactive, detail-driven, and calm under pressure
  • Experienced in team leadership and consultant coordination
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - you spot issues before they become problems
  • Comfortable moving fast and making things happen
  • Open to growing into the role - if you’ve got the spark, we’ll support your stride

Bonus

Still have an architectural itch? There’s scope to stay involved in design if of interest.

This role is perfect for someone looking to step out of traditional practice and into a high-impact, client-facing leadership role - without losing touch with design.

The Environment

You’ll be joining a tight-knit team in a highly collaborative studio shared with a wider group of sister brands (70 staff). Visibility is high, pace is fast, and the standard is excellence.

Projects range from ultra-high-end residences and luxury developments in London and across the United States, with an emerging luxury hospitality sector.

Think creative entrepreneurship, with the structure and support of an award-winning design studio behind you.

Why This Role?

  • Strategic Influence - Partner with the Creative Director to steer studio success
  • Multidisciplinary Environment - Deliver world-class design while using your full skillset
  • Creative Ownership - High autonomy, immediate impact, and visible contribution
  • Supportive Culture - Collaborative, fast-moving team with access to broader resources
