Job summary

A renowned architectural practice based in London is seeking talented Architects / Project Architects. This role involves managing projects through all RIBA stages, developing design packages using Revit, and liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality architectural projects. The ideal candidate should be an ARB-registered Architect with a solid understanding of UK regulations and a proven track record in project management.

Job description

Denton Corker Marshall LLP has small offices in London and Manchester in the UK and currently works in the residential and hospitality sector. Amongst its accolades, the Practice was a finalist for the Stirling Prize in 2008 for the Manchester Civil Justice Centre, and it successfully designed and delivered the highly acclaimed visitors centre at Stonehenge.

We are seeking talented and experienced Architects / Project Architects with good design sensibilities, a keen eye for detail, and proven experience across all RIBA stages, particularly at detailed design and construction stages. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of running and managing projects, ideally through to completion and possess hands-on experience with UK-based projects and site work. The selected candidate will report and work with the Design Partner and the Project Associate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop design and technical packages using Revit
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, managing input from consultants and clients
  • Oversee the delivery of projects through all RIBA stages
  • Support the creative vision led by the Design Partner with practical, buildable solutions reviewed by the Project Associate
  • Participate in project reviews and lead project team members to achieve detailed package information.
  • Support the continual improvement of the practice’s quality management system and contribute to the delivery of high-standard services

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years post-qualification experience in a similar role
  • Strong project running abilities with proven time management skills
  • Proven ability to deliver projects from detailed design through to completion, including snagging and defect resolution
  • Sound understanding of UK Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, British Standards, and statutory procedures
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and client-facing skills
  • High degree of technical knowledge and commitment to achieving high quality and accurate work

Software Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (essential)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with Higher Risk Buildings and hospitality projects
  • Understanding of Principal Designer (PD) duties and responsibilities
  • Technically minded with a proactive approach to construction challenges
  • Passionate about the delivery and technical execution of architecture, not just design
  • Enjoys a process-driven, detail-focused role
