Our client is a growing SME Design and Build Construction company that also has a separate design business. Due to impressive growth, they are currently seeking a Qualified Level 3 Architect to join their team based in Bromley, Kent.

They specialize in High-End residential and the Wellness Sector. They are hugely client-focused and look to build strong client bonds by seeing the projects from design through to completion.

This is an exciting time to join the business!

As a Part 3 Architect, you will lead the design and technical aspects of building projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish and work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Some of the responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Design: Leading the design of new projects and the redesign of existing projects.
  2. Project management: Managing the technical aspects of projects, including planning, implementing, and recording tasks.
  3. Collaboration: Working with other members of the design team and construction team as well as working with councils.
  4. Communication: Communicating effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors. This is a technical role but also client-facing.
  5. Negotiation: Using negotiation skills to resolve construction-related challenges and disputes.

Our client is looking for someone who has worked in a similar design and build company with high-end residential experience. Average projects range in value from £1 – 4 million.

You need to have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a high level of technical expertise. You will need to have an understanding of UK construction and contract law, construction procurement processes, and the roles of built environment professionals.

This role will require you to be in the Bromley offices as well as onsite at client projects.
