Overview

Gensler’s Birmingham & London office is seeking an experienced Architect with strong technical skills and experience in the Data Centre and Critical Facilities sectors. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Revit and possess a proactive attitude, eager to learn and collaborate.

Your Role

You will work closely with Architects and Interior Design colleagues across Gensler’s practice areas, participating in all design stages from test fits to technical detailing and construction documentation. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing world-class buildings
• Participating in all phases of the design process, including programming, concept design, schematic design, technical development, and tendering
• Supporting communication with clients, contractors, and the design team, fostering strong relationships
• Preparing plans, elevations, details, and sections leading to detailed construction drawings

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in Architecture or Architecture Technology with demonstrable experience in design, detailing, and/or construction documentation
• Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience in Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3Ds Max is advantageous
• Experience within the data centre and critical facilities sectors
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and graphic presentation skills
• Experience with international projects is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
