Brandon James is seeking an Architect and Principal Designer to lead Building Regulations compliance within a large residential and mixed-use project portfolio in London. You will guide compliance strategy, coordinate design teams, and drive regulatory submissions across multiple project interfaces.
The role rewards with a strong salary and benefits, including pension, bonus and healthcare, in a busy AJ100 practice environment. Previous RIBA/CIAT/AP S registration exposure is beneficial.
An Architectural practice in the AJ100 list is hiring an Architect to work within their Principal Design team. You will work with a team of experienced Architects managing Building Regulation compliance across large scale Residential, Commercial and mixed-use projects.
The Architect will work within a different team to the internal design staff, which will provide a different way of working. Guiding compliance strategy and leading design team meetings can be considered a less taxing role.
Lead Building Regulations compliance through design coordination, risk-based reviews, multidisciplinary interfaces, regulatory submissions, change control, HRB Gateway and Golden Thread requirements, reporting, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement of QA systems.
The Architect and Principal Designer suitable for this role will have at least 5 years of experience as a qualified Architect.
If the Architect and Principal Designer is registered as a Principal Designer via RIBA, CIAT or APS, that will be advantageous.
There really is not a more exciting role for an Architect and Building Regulation Principal Designer in the London market currently.
