Architect Job in Fernhurst, West Sussex

Architect job now available working on bespoke high-end residential projects regularly featured in industry publications, with a team that values good design, work-life balance, and positive office culture. This is an opportunity to join a well-respected studio offering quality projects, strong salary potential, and long-term stability.

The practice has been delivering high-end residential projects across the Southeast for over 25 years. Based in West Sussex, the team of 14 works across new builds, listed properties, substantial extensions with and extensions to existing estates. Their work focuses on the traditional style, and often includes additional design elements such as swimming pools, tennis courts, and art installations.

They're known for their attention to detail and high standards of delivery, with projects frequently featured in the architectural press.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work on projects throughout all RIBA stages, deliver projects, and lead teams throughout
  • Work directly with clients to develop design briefs.
  • Take a lead role in the running of projects
  • Liaise with external and internal teams
  • Apply a strong understanding of traditional and contemporary detailing
  • Contribute to the smooth technical delivery of bespoke residential builds and refurbishments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in practice
  • ARB qualified
  • Strong technical ability with excellent detailing skills
  • Fluency in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge would be a bonus)
  • Experience with high-end residential work is essential
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and consultants
  • Joinery and stonework experience is advantageous
  • Due to the studio location, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.
