Mott MacDonald is seeking an Architect / Senior Architect to join our UK Buildings Unit, contributing to a diverse portfolio across Ireland, UK, and Europe. The role involves running projects within a growing UK-wide architectural team, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and driving projects autonomously.

The ideal candidate is degree-qualified in architecture with UK experience, ARB-registered, and proficient in Revit and BIM, with a keen eye for detail and strong technical

About The Business Unit

The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross‑sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.

Overview Of Role

We are looking for an Architect / Senior Architect to join our growing architecture team. The architecture team is part of the buildings and cities unit within Mott MacDonald and provides services at all RIBA stages on a wide variety of projects.

We have a diverse portfolio of interesting projects in most building typologies where we work with clients across Ireland, UK, Europe and globally and cover all aspects of the project life-cycle. This is an exciting opportunity for a Architect to join our team, to work on a long‑term project opportunity, while developing your own career. You’ll be a part of a growing UK‑wide architectural team, coordinating proactively with other engineering disciplines as well as running projects autonomously. The workload will include working on projects in a variety of sectors.

Candidate specification

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified or equivalent in architecture with work experience within an Architectural Practice or similar environment in the UK and have suitable experience of running projects as part of a team. The candidate will be creative and confident, with a keen eye for detail, possessing a good working technical knowledge base and able to demonstrate project running experience, working as part of a team, whilst also able to coordinate with other design team members.

Essential

• Post part 3 / Qualified Architect with ARB registration
• Defence or Transport buildings experience would be beneficial but not essential
• Demonstrable post qualification experience
• Ability to deliver projects from a design and technical background
• Experience of project delivery, working to deadlines
• Experience of working with Revit and BIM
• Should have a genuine interest in Architecture and the Built Environment and be aware of relevant current technical building legislation and guidance such as Building Regulations and British Standards
• Should be prepared to work on multiple projects simultaneously
