Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking maintenance staff for vegetation management on the National Grid contract. The role covers site supervision, tool operation and adherence to safety and environmental standards. You will ensure works are completed to spec, with timely reporting and coordination with management.

Ideal candidates hold CS30/CS31, chipping experience, and emergency first aid. Training in risk assessment and environmental risk management is valued, with opportunities for development within

Qualifications

• CSCS CS30 and CS31 certification is required.
• Chipper operation and vegetation management experience.
• First aid certification is preferred.
• Environmental and risk assessment training completed.
• Ability to work as lead on a National Grid vegetation contract.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools and equipment for cutting and maintenance per contract specs.
• Compile and comply with work specifications, method statements and risk assessments.
• Maintain site documentation and risk assessments in line with procedures.
• Follow safe working methods and environmental best practices.
• Maintain plant and vehicles in good condition per procedures.
• Organise site activities to meet standards while minimising risk.
