Job summary

Lanes Group Plc is seeking an experienced Tree Climber/Arborist to perform vegetation clearance and tree dismantling along railway corridors in strict adherence to rail standards and TfL rules. You will operate climbing and chainsaw equipment, complete daily risk assessments, and support ground operations in a safety‑conscious TfL environment.

Responsibilities include working nights and during rail possessions with training provided for additional qualifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tree Climber/Arborist, ideally within the rail industry.
• NPTC/LANTRA qualifications, including: CS30/201, CS31/202, CS38/206 & 306, CS39/308.
• PTS (Personal Track Safety) / Sentinel card - essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
• Additional qualifications desirable - if you don't currently possess these qualifications, we will provide the training.
• MEWP (IPAF)
• Woodchipper
• Brush cutter/strimmer
• First Aid +F (Forestry)

• PTS (Personal Track Safety) / Sentinel card - essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
