Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an enthusiastic Arborist/Climber to join a long-standing national utility vegetation management contract. The role involves working carefully to ensure safety, compliance with laws, and promotion of safe practices while delivering high-quality service.

The successful candidate will have an Arbor/Forestry qualification and proven climbing ability, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Arborist/forestry qualification required.
• Experience in arboriculture or forestry, preferably utility arb or land-based industry.
• Competent climber with training provided for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Join a long-standing national utility vegetation management contract and contribute to site operations.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance with laws and promote safe working practices.

Job description

Working Pattern

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Team member may be expected to flexible on the hours based on the requirements of the role, but overall, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable person to join our team to work on this long standing and well established major national utility vegetation management contract.
• Have a firm focus on customer satisfaction, safety, compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and the promotion of safe working practices.

Key Hiring Criteria

• Will have an Arb or Forestry qualification.
• Will have previous experience in arboriculture or forestry, preferably utility arb or land-based industry.
• Will be a trained and competent climber.
• Be competent and confident in your role although high quality training is provided for the right person.
• Be comfortable working in a small team, you will need to be a problem solver, self-motivated and able to manage your time effectively, efficiently and have a professional and safe approach to work.
