Job summary

Hyndburn Borough Council is recruiting an Arboriculture & Conservation Officer to join the parks team. The role splits time between advising on planning applications and managing the council's tree stock in parks and open spaces.

You will hold an arboriculture qualification and have at least three years' experience in the field, with excellent knowledge of TPOs and urban forestry. The position is full time based in Hyndburn and includes a car user allowance.

• Qualification in arboriculture.
• At least 3 years’ experience in arboriculture in public or private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Determine the tree element of planning applications and Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs).
• Manage the Council's tree stock in parks and open spaces.
