Overview

Role Title: Arboricultural Asset Officer
Location: North West London (Hybrid)
Rate: £250 per day (umbrella)
Contract: 3-6 months, with possible extension

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assess the condition of trees across the estate, identifying risks and required works.
  • Manage arboricultural assets, keeping accurate records using asset management systems.
  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure works are delivered to specification, within time and budget.
  • Provide technical arboricultural advice to colleagues, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of tree management strategies and policies.
  • Support compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and health & safety requirements.
About You

You will bring a blend of technical arboricultural knowledge and strong communication skills. Key requirements include:

  • Relevant arboricultural qualification (e.g., Level 3/4 in Arboriculture or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in tree inspection, risk assessment, and asset management.
  • Good understanding of legislation and standards relating to tree management.
  • Ability to work both independently on-site and collaboratively with internal teams and contractors.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of asset management or GIS-based systems (desirable).
