Role description:

As an Arboriculturist, you would join our ecology team of over 50 specialists, with more than 20 years of experience in ecological and arboricultural surveys, assessments, and providing advice on masterplanning, mitigation, and enhancement design, ecosystem service, and natural capital assessment.

As part of our Environmental team, you’ll help improve quality of life. Your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, or noise, in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.

We are addressing climate change, urbanization, biodiversity loss, and large-scale events like floods and wildfires. Our goal is to protect natural resources and water resources for future generations.

Role accountabilities:

• Conduct ecological surveys and produce reports to help improve quality of life sustainably.
• Perform BS 5837 2012 Arboricultural surveys, produce AIAs and AMSs.
• Occasionally conduct climbed surveys to inspect bat roosting features.
• Provide advice on Arboricultural issues.
• Manage arboricultural projects and advise clients accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Suitable qualification such as FdSc Arb, BSc, Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture, or related field; membership of Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters.
• Knowledge of BS 5837 2012 Tree Surveys, AIAs, and AMSs.
• Experience in tree condition surveys, reporting, and planning application reports.
• Understanding of health and safety on site.
• Desired: LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector, CS38 Rope and Harness, Aerial Rescue, experience with database management, and assessing trees for bat roosting potential.
