Role Description

As an Arboriculturist, you will join our ecology team, which has over 20 years of experience in ecological and arboricultural surveys, assessments, and providing advice on masterplanning, mitigation, and natural capital assessment. Your work will contribute to environmental management, protected species, pollution, water and materials management, air quality, or noise, often in dynamic and beautiful locations worldwide.

Role Responsibilities

1. Conduct surveys and produce reports to enhance quality of life sustainably.
2. Perform BS 5837 2012 Arboricultural surveys and prepare related reports, AIAs, and AMSs.
3. Occasionally conduct climbed surveys to inspect bat roosting features.
4. Provide advice on Arboricultural issues.
5. Complete arboricultural projects and advise clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification (e.g., FdSc Arb, BSc, Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture) and membership of Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters.
• Knowledge of BS 5837 2012 Tree Quality Surveys and report writing for planning applications.
• Experience in tree condition surveys, reporting, and assessing trees for bat roosting potential.
• Understanding of health and safety in site survey and supervision.
• Desirable: LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector, CS38 Rope and Harness Access, database management, and bat roosting assessments.
