ARB Teaching Assistant – | Bude, Cornwall

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is offering an exciting opportunity to join our partner secondary school in Bude, Cornwall, working within an Area Resource Base (ARB).

Job Details:

  • Start Date:September 2025
  • Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary
  • Hours: 8:45 am – 3:15pm
  • Pay: £90 - £95 per day (based on experience)

About our Partner School:

Teaching Personnel’s partner school in Bude offers a specialist Area Resource Base (ARB) for secondary students with complex and multiple learning needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.

The ARB provides a supportive, structured environment where students follow a tailored curriculum, combining academic learning with life skills, social development, and sensory activities. Students have opportunities to pursue Entry Level qualifications and, where appropriate, GCSEs in mainstream classes.

With dedicated staff and specialist facilities, including a sensory room and accessible outdoor space, the ARB ensures each student receives personalized support. Admission is managed by Cornwall Council’s SEND team and requires an EHCP.
