A progressive family farm near Peterborough is seeking a full-time primary arable operator. The role involves various responsibilities including spraying and drilling, with a focus on conservation farming techniques. Ideal for those looking to grow in their agricultural career.
A progressive and friendly family arable farm based near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.
Using conservation and regenerative farming techniques that include no-till and cover cropping across 1900 acres of combinable crops and stewardship. Also managing 200 acres of woodland and other farm diversifications.
We are a close-knit family team recruiting for a full-time primary arable operator whose main roles will include; spraying, drilling, fert spreading alongside other farm duties such as lorry loading, rolling, carting, machinery and farm infrastructure maintenance.
The successful candidate will have attention to detail, a good work ethic, and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. PA1 + PA2 required along with being confident and safe on modern tractors. Useful to have some spraying and drilling experience but not essential. Continued professional development and training is strongly supported.
Modern farm equipment includes:
2 x JD 6215r tractors, JCB telehandler, 8m Dale drill, 6m Sly Boss drill, DAL-BO rolls Horsch Leeb sprayer, KV spreader, Case 9250 combine & MacDon header.
