Job summary

XYZ Reality, based in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Production Assembly & Test Engineer to join the Production team at our NPI facility. You will perform hands-on assembly of AR devices, in-process and final test and calibration, ensuring devices leave the factory to exacting SOP standards.

Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, you will contribute to documentation, quality processes and goods-in inspection, maintaining calibration records and supporting the calibration register for

Qualifications

Hands-on assembly experience on complex electro‑mechanical products.
Test, calibration and measurement experience, ideally including automated or robotic calibration equipment.
Ability to write, follow and improve test procedures, SOPs and acceptance criteria.
Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assemble the full range of XYZ AR devices to SOPs and specifications, including robot calibration and configuration for accuracy.
Perform in-process and final test to defined criteria, releasing product under the QMS; maintain calibration records.
Record test and calibration results against serial numbers; support software/firmware installation and verification.
Identify, record and escalate non-conforming product through NCR; support fault-finding, repair and rework.
Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions for assembly, test and calibration; keep documentation current with engineering changes.
Support goods-in inspection to acceptance criteria with Logistics/Warehousing.
