Aquatic Network is looking for a Quantitative Geneticist to interact with aquaculture specialists and laboratory scientists in delivering leading genetic services. This role requires a MSc/PhD in a relevant field and strong R programming skills. You will design customized breeding programmes, manage their execution, and deliver genetic analyses to clients.

The position involves national and international travel, and exceptional communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• MSc / PhD in aquaculture, animal breeding, quantitative genetics or related field.
• Strong programming skills in R required.
• Experience using linear-mixed models for breeding value estimation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customised breeding programmes for clients.
• Manage day-to-day running of breeding programmes.
• Deliver high-quality genetic analyses including estimation of breeding values.
