Job summary

A leading automotive solutions provider is seeking a motivated APQP Engineer in Leicester Forest East. You will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to drive new technology advancement at a global automotive manufacturer. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of Supplier Quality Development Engineering experience and strong analytical skills. This is a 12-month contract with competitive rates.

Overview

APQP Engineer - Desford

Rates: £34.00 Umbrella OR £24.00 PAYE

Duration: 12 months

We are looking for a motivated innovative APQP engineer to help drive new technology advancement at a global automotive manufacturer. This role will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) within the product and process development teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver key elements of APQP: including, but not limited to: Requirements Management, Boundary Diagram, Interface Analysis, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plans & Report (DVP&R), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Process Control Plan.
  • Work with design teams to develop product architecture definition through boundary diagrams
  • Develop and deliver level-appropriate requirements with linkage to levels above and below in product hierarchy
  • Deliver a comprehensive list of recommended design and process actions, special process controls, and validation activities to mitigate high-risk areas.
  • Contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes.
  • Perform complex analysis work to identify design/process risk and develop mitigation plans.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Supplier Quality Development Engineering Experience
  • Excellent APQP and analytical skills, and the ability to perform complex assignments.
  • Must have a good mechanical aptitude with the ability to develop product concepts.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members.
  • Experience leading projects
