Job summary

Genomics is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to own end-to-end security across multi-tenant, AI-enabled data platforms. You will lead threat modelling, design reviews, and build secure tooling to protect our trillions of data rows.

You will work with product teams, SRE, and ML teams, applying security-focused AI tooling and your expert judgement to stay ahead of state-of-the-art threats.

Qualifications

• Experience within application security in production, identifying and fixing exploitable bugs.
• Production-quality software engineering in Python/Go/TypeScript, with secure tooling in CI/CD.
• Deep security work securing multi-tenant systems on cloud platforms (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Leading threat modelling and design reviews for new products and infrastructure.
• Building libraries, patterns, and CI/CD guardrails for secure development.
• Building and tuning AI tooling for code analysis and remediation guidance.
• Hunting for vulnerabilities through code review and testing, driving fixes.
• Securing AI surfaces from prompt injection to tenant-scoped access and tests.
• Partnering with product, SRE, data platform, and ML teams to unblock work.
