Job Description:

Applications are invited from committed and experienced Approved Mental Health Social Workers / AMHP to join the Older Adult Mental Health Team on the beautiful island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

This is a Band 7 post.

The Older Adult Community team is part of the wider Adult Community Mental Health Service and offers a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals specializing in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues in older adults.

You will provide support to clients both in hospital and in the community. You may also participate in the island-wide rota, carrying out ASW/AMP duties, including liaison with GPs, FMEs, and Psychiatrists, and developing multi-agency collaborations.

Please note: Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system but uses its own salary scales. The current Band 7 salary range is £55,578 to £73,085, plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements (36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/Public Holidays). Annual leave starts at 36 days, up to 42 days, with full credit for NHS or UK Local Authority service for leave entitlements.

The island of Guernsey has a population of 65,000, with beautiful beaches, a mild climate, and a historic harbor town, St. Peter Port.

Person Requirements:
