Surrey County Council is recruiting an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) for its frontline AMHP team, covering the West Team and the west of Surrey. The role focuses on statutory assessments under the Mental Health Act and Care Act, with a weekly shift lead for screening referrals and allocations.

The post is part-time (18 hours per week), office-based with flexible working between home and community bases.

Qualifications

Experience

Skills & knowledge

• Working knowledge of legislation, assessments, care planning, and monitoring and reviewing outcomes
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and up-to-date knowledge of mental health issues

Checks & eligibility

• Current full UK driving licence
• Access to a vehicle
