Calling all Electricians and Approved Electricians in Gloucester

Platform Property Care has a great opportunity for an experienced Electrician or Approved Electrician to join our repairs and maintenance team in a mobile role covering work around Worcester, Evesham, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, and the surrounding areas.

You’ll be joining a talented team carrying out remedial work, general maintenance, and repairs across our properties. You will thrive on providing excellent customer service, keeping jobs on track, and ensuring work is completed to specification. A right-first-time mentality and customer focus are essential.

The role is varied, and no two days are the same! It’s a challenging role with high expectations, but you’ll have the support of a great team!

  • Basic salary of £39,290 per annum for Approved Electricians or £36,823 for Electricians (additional earnings from voluntary overtime and out-of-hours work)

We’re looking for a team player who is hardworking, eager to learn, and has a can-do attitude. As you will work in people's homes, good communication skills, friendliness, and approachability are important. Organisation skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are also required.

Ideally, you will have:

  • An apprenticeship in Electrical or an equivalent NVQ Level 3 & City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical installation, commissioning, and certification
  • AM2 qualification
  • City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent in testing and inspection
  • 18th Edition regulation compliance
  • If you do not have your 2391 or equivalent, you will be classified as an Electrician (£36,823 per annum)

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in delivering a range of electrical services in domestic settings
  • Experience working for a social landlord, housing association, or council
  • Experience in responsive repairs
  • Full valid driving licence (essential for this mobile role)
  • DBS check required as work involves visiting customer homes

This role involves working on an out-of-hours rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

The role covers Worcester, Evesham, Pershore, Tewkesbury, Bishops Cleeve, and Gloucester; candidates should reside in or near these areas.
