Approved Electrician

Meridian are working with an Electrical company that are growing their team of permanent Approved Electricians, after back-to-back successful years. This will provide a variety of work around Greater Manchester and surrounding areas. They specialise in commercial projects, such as offices, warehouses, apartments, luxury living spaces, universities, and student accommodation projects to name a few. Their engineers install 1st and 2nd fix on these commercial projects, so as an Approved Electrician you will be tasked with installing containment, power and lighting, wiring, conduit, DADO, and sockets, as well as Inspection & Testing the projects when required. The nature of the jobs means projects are often between 1 - 3 months in duration, and have bonuses available based on meeting deadlines and performance, which greatly increases earning potential. In addition to this, there will be opportunities to work overtime and weekends when the projects demand, and if you desire. Requirements for this role:

• Gold JIB Approved Electrician Card
• Relevant electrical experience in commercial environments
• BSth Edition Wiring regulations
• Inspection and Testing qualifications required (either on Approved JIB card or separately)
• Driving Licence (there will be travel involved in this role)

Duties will include:

• Perform electrical installation, including 1st, 2nd, and final fix
• Inspection and Testing of commercial electrical equipment
• Be able to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults
• Working independently on electrical installation as well as effectively contributing to team environments if and when required
• Ability to work alongside subcontractors and other tradesmen on commercial projects
• Being customer-facing on various contracts, meaning effective communication and customer-service skills are essential

Your role as an Approved Electrician for this company will involve working on a variety of commercial jobs, helping you gain vast experience in a variety of projects and environments.
