Overview

Approved Electrician – £43,000 - £45,000 basic, £65,000 OTE. Vehicle, fuel card + door to door (Must be willing to stay away 95% of the time).

Responsibilities
  • Undertake site electrical installations including lighting and power, cable tray/ladder, cable installation and switchgear installation
  • Carry out inspections and testing to both new and existing installations
  • Be able to take the role as lead electrician on projects, reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager
  • Aid the high voltage teams on larger site installations
  • Mentor and coach less experienced staff and apprentices in developing their knowledge and skills
  • Carry out work in a safe manner, always adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Take personal ownership and responsibility of any company property entrusted to you
  • Contribute to the future success of the business and its clients
  • Represent Powersystems with professionalism, actively contributing to our success and continuously seeking ways to improve services and efficiency

Required Skills / Qualifications
  • Must hold a JIB approved ECS card
  • Time served approved electrician having served recognised apprenticeship to 18th Edition
  • Inspection and testing (2391 or equivalent)
  • Experience of working within the electrical power sector (desirable)
  • Experience of working on construction sites
  • Experience working on commercial and industrial installations
  • Ability to work proactively on own or as part of a team
  • Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team
  • Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence
  • Right to Work within the UK without limitation
