Job description
The world of tax is rapidly evolving to keep pace with technological innovations and increased regulation whilst governments globally are seeking to drive greater tax transparency and use tax as an incentive to achieve environmental and social targets. If you join us in Tax at KPMG your job will be to understand these developments and advise clients of new risks and opportunities.
Our Tax practice collaborates with all kinds of organisations and businesses of different sizes, across a wide range of specialisms - from International Tax and Deal Advisory Tax through to Transfer Pricing and Indirect Taxes. We advise on all aspects of employee reward and support high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurial families too.
With such a wide-ranging remit, Tax offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-profile projects whilst building a career that could take many different routes. You will tackle challenges at the heart of client organisations and develop a broad understanding of how businesses operate, whilst you develop valuable technical skills and professional qualifications.
Join us on this programme as a Tax Apprentice and you'll be part of a team that works collaboratively with clients, helping them to navigate complex tax policy landscapes, and stay compliant with regulation by paying the right tax at the right time. Throughout the programme, you will benefit from learning every day, having the resources and support that you need to thrive with us, develop valuable technical skills and to reach your full potential, working alongside some of the brightest minds in business.
On this programme you'll study for an AAT Level 3 qualification initially and then move to study for the ACA (or CA equivalent in Scotland) providing you with structured learning through a blend of innovative online, and in person study.
Our firm's hybrid working model balances the flexibility of working from home with the importance of collaborating and learning in offices or at client sites. We trust our people to be where our clients need them to be, with our client-facing colleagues working together in person as often as needed. You'll be empowered by the technology that supports us to work flexibly across our collaborative office spaces, building friendships and shared experiences, innovating and learning together.
Join our KPMG community, and we'll empower you to learn, grow, thrive and do work that matters.
Capability: Tax & Law Programme Length: 5 years Qualifications: AAT Level 3/4 plus the ACA qualification or CA equivalent (Scotland locations) Entry Requirements:
At KPMG, everyone brings a unique perspective, and we want to ensure that you have the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We want to discover your individual strengths and attributes to help us to know whether you'll enjoy working here and how you'll thrive. That's why we operate an open access policy and an application process that will assess both your qualifications and your qualities.
Generally, you'll be expected to demonstrate the following grades (*or equivalents), to show that you're able to successfully study for professional qualifications. If you are a few grades or points short, we would still encourage you to apply, as your application will be reviewed together with your performance in our assessments. You'll also have the opportunity to provide additional information for us to assess your application and potential in the context of your socio-economic background and/or any extenuating circumstances, which may have a positive uplift on your academic achievements through contextual recruitment. You can find out more here.
