We are seeking to appoint several apprentices at our Portobello site, Willenhall, WV13 3PW, across the following areas. The description provides an idea of what the future role will entail:

Engineering

With an increase in semi-automated cells & processes in production, apprentices will be trained in fault diagnosis, problem solving, and identifying new opportunities in manufacturing practices. The role also involves providing solutions to increase production efficiency.

Software Development/Programming

You will learn how to help us provide outstanding service for customers. Working in a small team, you will develop skills in software support for our Digital Access Solution systems, reporting, customer service, and technical support.

Service and Installation

You will learn to provide excellent installation services for customers, assisting Product Installation and Service Engineers. Skills include product installation, resolving onsite technical issues, and conducting pre-emptive site surveys.

Technical Customer Service

You will ensure customer satisfaction regarding return and repair inquiries, and learn mechanical and electrical engineering through on-the-job training in our electromechanical and digital access solutions.

Customer Services

You will learn to manage the order process, providing comprehensive service related to products, orders, and inquiries, striving for world-class service and continuous improvement.

Supply Analyst

If you are analytical and enjoy working with data, you will learn to analyze stock levels and forecast future customer requirements.

During your apprenticeship, you will:

Additionally, you will:

• Attend college/training to meet academic requirements
• Manage your daily activities and prioritize tasks
• Develop relationships with customers

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a keen interest in their chosen field

• Have at least Grade 9-4 qualifications in Maths and English
• Are self-motivated and hardworking
• Have a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving
• Pay good attention to detail and accuracy
• Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
