Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the design development process.
  • Assist with obtaining quotes from consultants and authorities.
  • Understand and manage consultant design programmes.
  • Assist in briefing design consultants.
  • Review drawings for compliance with requirements.
  • Assist with obtaining technical approvals.
  • Manage technical queries and RFIs.
  • Develop strong relationships by spending time on site.
  • Liaise with production teams to resolve design queries.
  • Provide 'as built' records upon completion.
  • Assist with handover processes and management of drawings.
Job description
Overview

To support the Technical team and assist in managing the delivery of high quality drawn information developed to programme and within budget, which complies with all statutory approvals.

Responsibilities
  • Support and manage the design development process as part of the Technical Team ensuring value engineering and buildability are considered at all stages.
  • Assist with obtaining and processing competitive quotations from consultants, utility companies and Local Authorities to create accurate fee schedules and to achieve the best possible price.
  • Understand and assist with managing consultant design programmes that enable information to be provided timely, accurately and within budget to place orders.
  • Assist in briefing design consultants through a bespoke scope of services to deliver the correct level of information for any particular project.
  • Review drawings to ensure that they comply with Employers Requirements and all relevant legislation.
  • Assist with obtaining technical approvals promptly for any Sectional Agreement works.
  • Assist with management of technical queries and RFIs.
  • Develop strong working relationships internally and externally by spending appropriate time on site.
  • Liaise with Production Teams to resolve design queries promptly and comprehensively.
  • Assist with providing ‘as built’ records and other documentary evidence on completion of the works.
  • Assisting with the production and technical team with handover processes and management of drawings and information on Higgins systems.
