Apprentices will engage in various communications activities, work with dedicated client teams, and interact directly with clients. About the Programme and Role

The Strategic Communications practice helps clients build and protect their reputation through various communication strategies, including corporate reputation, financial results, digital strategies, and social media engagement.

We seek candidates eager to learn across corporate, financial, political, and brand communications, contributing creatively and bringing new ideas. This is a client-facing, practical role where you can contribute from day one.

We are hiring three apprentices to join our team.

What You’ll Do

As an Apprentice, your activities will include:

  • Writing business communications, press releases, case studies, and social media posts.
  • Researching for clients, contributing ideas, supporting proposals, and organizing events.
  • Building media relationships, creating media lists, monitoring media, and managing social media engagement.
  • Conducting research, analyzing data, and reporting findings clearly.
  • Supporting and delivering internal presentations.
  • Managing meetings, responding to emails, and maintaining your online calendar.
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing your time to meet deadlines.
  • Taking responsibility for your professional development.
  • Developing your professional network.

Throughout the programme, you will work within a team, gaining exposure to client work and developing a broad understanding of Public Relations. You will follow a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Public Relations, involving on-the-job training, virtual coaching, online learning, and portfolio development. You will work towards an End-Point Assessment to validate your skills and knowledge, following FTI Consulting and PRCA procedures.

FTI Teams

You will join one of the following teams, with selection discussed during the hiring process:

Digital and Insights

This team supports digital communications, social media, and analytics, working with major brands globally. The role involves supporting digital strategies, content creation, community management, and measurement.

Financial Services

This team focuses on building and protecting reputations for financial institutions, working on corporate communications, crisis support, and ESG initiatives, with a global client base.

International Campaigns & Issues Management

This team manages campaigns on issues and policies across multiple regions, handling reputation challenges, media relations, and policy influence for diverse clients.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Maths and English.
  • Attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (grades 9-4 or equivalent).
  • At least three A Levels/BTEC or equivalent (preferred).
  • A passion for Communications and PR.
  • Strong work ethic, creativity, adaptability, and initiative.
