A healthcare organization in the UK is looking for an Apprenticeship & Placement Lead to oversee their apprenticeship program. The role includes planning campaigns, managing governmental targets, and providing expert advice on apprenticeship standards. Candidates should have a degree, experience in managing apprenticeship services, and knowledge of funding rules. In order to comply with new government requirements, NHSBT must have new apprenticeship starts each year. The Apprenticeship & Placement Lead will provide specialist knowledge to the planning and leadership of NHSBTs apprenticeship programme. The Apprenticeship & Placement Lead will have responsibility for the apprenticeship operational process, end to end, from working with Training Providers, Assessment Providers, Recruitment, the Apprentices themselves, as well as Senior Managers and Mentors.
In this role you will be required to: Plan & lead on apprenticeship campaigns & initiatives as agreed with the Learning Services (LS) Manager Manage the governmental Apprenticeship target and ensure NHSBT achieve their targets. To be proactive in identifying new opportunities for apprenticeships, making a persuasive case for the use of apprentices in a range of new settings and leading this complex change. Provide expert advice to team managers on the appropriate Apprenticeship standard Support the co-ordination of the recruitment and selection of apprentices Lead on the corporate induction and welcome events for apprentices Manage and monitor the learner journey processes and identify risks to the LS Manager of non-compliance to government targets Coordinate the cohorts of apprentices and ensure they are on track with their development plans and apprenticeship programme requirements Implement and manage strategies to ensure that learner outcomes are timely and appropriately evidenced. Support line managers with limited experience of apprenticeship programmes throughout the lifetime of the programme, manage their expectations and ensure that performance issues are addressed & followed through. Manage the performance of the Apprentices, training providers and end point assessment providers, responding quickly to any performance issues and ensuring a high-quality service from providers
