The School of Engineering and Computing is seeking to recruit an Apprentice Educator to join our existing team. This is a fixed-term contract to cover family leave. The main responsibilities include guiding & supporting, monitoring, and assessing both employers and apprentices throughout the degree apprenticeship journey, as well as contributing to the activities of the school and university related to the delivery and compliance of degree apprenticeships.
The ideal candidate will possess coaching skills to motivate and engage learners of various ages. Work experience in the relevant sector is advantageous. You should be passionate about developing others, empathetic, and people-focused.
Qualifications include a first degree (honours preferred, especially in construction or related fields). The role involves encouraging learner engagement, conducting progress reviews, collaborating with employers and line managers, providing feedback on skills and knowledge, managing electronic portfolios, and offering academic and safeguarding support.
