First Military Recruitment is partnering with a leading International Defence company to recruit an Apprenticeship Coach (Vehicle Mechanics) on a permanent basis due to expansion, covering the South West region of the UK. This role offers full remote working with travel to various sites.

Potential locations include: St Athan, Tidworth, Lyneham, Warminster, Colerne, Larkhill, Bulford.

The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assess learner work and activities, providing feedback on progress and ensuring proper documentation for the induction process, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training to support learners in completing units towards their Apprenticeship Programme.
  • Conduct training and coaching reviews with learners at scheduled intervals, following ESFA and company guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary apprenticeship paperwork, passing details to administration and relevant offices as learners are posted.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic fields.
  • Experience in supporting and delivering Apprenticeship Programmes, including assessment, lesson planning, training delivery, and implementing training solutions.
  • Understanding of Equality & Diversity principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with military personnel at all levels, including soldiers and senior officers.
  • Military sector experience is preferred.
  • Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or equivalent.
  • An Assessor qualification is desirable; training can be provided for suitable candidates.

Salary: £36,400

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week
