Job description

Job Title: Apprenticeship Coach (Field / Unit Based)

Location:

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Apprenticeship Coach to join our team at a global leader in defence, engineering, and training services. In this field-based role, you will use your vocational expertise to coach, assess, and support learners within their workplace, ensuring they successfully complete their apprenticeship programs. You will play a key role in guiding learners through their journey, from portfolio building to End Point Assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess apprenticeship learning programs, ensuring all components are completed in line with ESFA, Ofsted, and awarding organisation requirements.
  • Provide coaching and support to learners, helping them meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and complete the program on time.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation, tracking learner progress, and providing effective feedback.
  • Plan and deliver industry-specific teaching and learning sessions as required.
  • Build strong relationships with learners and internal teams, supporting learners' full potential and successful apprenticeship completion.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and share best practices across teams.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent).
  • Award / Certificate in Education & Training (or equivalent).
  • GCSE in Maths and English (Grade C or above, or equivalent).
  • Relevant industry qualification (minimum Level 3).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an appropriate industry.
  • Strong understanding of work-based learning programs.
  • Experience within the defence sector (e.g., army).

Security Requirements:

  • EDBS / BPSS clearance required. SC clearance can be obtained while in role.
