Job summary

Paragon Skills in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Personal Tutor to deliver Health & Social Care qualifications at Levels 2 and 3, guiding learners with high-quality teaching, coaching and assessment throughout their programmes.

You will manage a caseload, conduct workplace observations, provide feedback and work with employer partners to ensure an exceptional learner experience, while using the BUD LMS and maintaining GDPR and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent).
• Health & Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Experience delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Experience managing a learner caseload.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle; willingness to travel for observations and meetings.

Job description

We’re looking for engaging, supportive and experienced professionals to join our growing Personal Tutor team, delivering Health & Social Care qualifications at Levels 2 and 3.

As a Personal Tutor, you’ll guide learners throughout their programme, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to achieve their qualification and progress in their careers.

Through our market-leading Elevate programme, you’ll provide high-quality teaching, coaching and assessment, ensuring every learner receives an exceptional learning experience from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Inspire, motivate and support learners to achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications.
• Deliver engaging and effective teaching, learning and assessment tailored to individual learner needs.
• Manage a caseload of learners, providing regular reviews, workplace observations and progress support.
• Offer constructive feedback that drives learner development and achievement.
• Build positive relationships with employer partners, ensuring a first-class learner experience.
• Promote and maximise engagement with our Elevate workshops and learning resources.
• Monitor learner progress through our Learning Management System, BUD.
• Work collaboratively with our specialist Functional Skills and Additional Learning Support teams.
• Produce clear, accurate and meaningful review and observation documentation.
• Maintain compliance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.

What You Won’t Be Doing

Unlike many similar roles, you won’t be expected to manage everything yourself.

You won’t be responsible for:

• Delivering Functional Skills qualifications.
• Recruiting or generating your own learners.
• Enrolling learners onto programmes.
• Delivering workshop content, as this is provided through our dedicated Workshop Tutors and Elevate delivery teams.
• Managing learners through EPA administration processes.

We’ve built specialist teams around our Personal Tutors so you can concentrate on supporting learners towards successful, timely achievement.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent).
• Health & Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Experience delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Experience managing a learner caseload.
• Strong understanding of apprenticeship or vocational qualification delivery.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
• Ability and willingness to travel for observations, learner visits and team meetings.
