Overview
Main purpose of the role:
As an Apprentice Warehouse Technician, you will learn how to efficiently and safely receive, handle, store, and dispatch goods in a warehouse environment. This hands-on role will provide you with in-depth knowledge of stock control, warehouse systems, and logistical operations. You will develop the essential skills to become a reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused team member.

Requirements
Essential:
- Commitment to completing the full apprenticeship programme.
- Basic numeracy and literacy (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent – support will be given if not yet achieved).
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and able to work in a physically active role.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in logistics or supply chain environment.

Responsibilities
Learning & Development:
As part of the apprenticeship, you will:
- Work towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Qualification
- Develop key knowledge, skills, and behaviours as outlined in the apprenticeship standard.
- Build a portfolio of evidence to support your learning.
- Take part in on-the-job training and off-the-job learning sessions with your training provider.
- Complete an End Point Assessment (EPA), including:
- A professional discussion/interview based on your portfolio.
- A workplace observation with Q&A.

- Warehouse Supervisors, Team Leaders, Trained Technicians.
- Delivery Drivers (inbound/outbound), Project Planners, Asset Teams.
- Other Apprentices and Colleagues across the business.
What you will learn
Summary of Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the receiving of goods, including unloading equipment and checking against documentation.
- Support in putting returning stock in to correct storage locations using warehouse systems and scanning equipment.
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for technical equipment and dispatch based on customer requirements.
- Learn to pack goods safely and securely for transportation.
- Operate mechanical handling equipment (MHE) under supervision, such as pallet trucks, stackers, ride on’s and forklift trucks (when trained and licensed).
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and contribute to efficient stock organisation considering LEAN.
- Use digital systems to track stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Follow company health & safety procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.
