Howdens is opening a brand-new depot in Skelmersdale and offering an Apprentice opportunity from January 2027. You will be part of a new team from the start, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with excellent training and development opportunities.

This 12–15 month apprenticeship provides significant career progression, including potential roles in sales, depot leadership, and management, with a mentor and support from the depot.

About the Apprenticeship

• Location: Skelmersdale Depot
• Salary: £16,686 plus team incentives
• Qualification: Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship
• Duration: 12-15 Months
• Support to achieve Maths & English (if needed)
• A dedicated mentor and supportive Depot Manager

Apprenticeship Eligibility

This apprenticeship is designed for individuals looking to develop new skills and begin or progress their career in this area. As part of the apprenticeship funding rules, the programme must provide significant new learning. Therefore, applicants who already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in a closely related subject, or who can already demonstrate the majority of the knowledge and skills covered by the apprenticeship, may not be eligible.
